i-80 Gold Corp. is a Nevada-focused, mining company with a goal of achieving mid-tier gold producer status through the development of four new open pit and underground mining operations that will ultimately process ore at the Company’s central Lone Tree complex that includes an Autoclave.

The Company’s primary goal is to build a self-sustaining, mid-tier, mining company with a peer-best growth platform by employing a methodical, capital disciplined and staged approach to minimize risk while also assessing and monitoring for accretive growth opportunities.

Chief Executive Officer & Director

Richard Young was the founder and eventually CEO of Teranga Gold Corporation, playing a key role in Teranga’s transformation from a single asset producer into a successful low-cost, mid-tier gold producer that was ultimately acquired by Endeavour Mining PLC in 2021 for more than C$2.5B. Most recently, Richard served as President and CEO of Argonaut Gold that was acquired by Alamos Gold Inc. in July of 2024. During his career, Mr. Young has been responsible for implementing award-winning sustainability programs, including the 2008 and 2017 PDAC Sustainability Award, and the 2020 UN Global Compact Canada SDG Accelerator Award.

Matthew Gili

President & Chief Operating Officer

Matthew Gili is a Professional Mining Engineer with experience spanning Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Technical Officer and General Manager roles. His deep technical experience included previously being Executive General Manager -Cortez District, leading one of Barrick’s top mining operations in Nevada, following which Matt was promoted to Chief Technical Officer for Barrick Gold Corporation. Additional operational experience included roles with Rio Tinto as the Managing Director of the Palabora Mining Company in South Africa and Chief Operating Officer of Oyu Tolgoi in Mongolia. Most recently as the Chief Executive Officer of Nevada Copper Corporation, Mr. Gili leveraged his broad experience in leading a publicly listed mining corporation.  Passionate about Safety & Environmental Stewardship Mr. Gili was previously Chairman of the Palabora Foundation, Chairman of Mongolian Safety Association (MISA), and is currently on the Management Advisory Board of the University of Nevada – Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering.

Chief Financial Officer

Ryan Snow is a mining finance professional with over 15 years of experience in financial management and reporting in both Canada and the United States (IFRS and US GAAP), internal controls, M&A, risk management and taxation. Prior to joining i-80 Gold Mr. Snow served most recently as Vice-President of Finance for Nevada Copper, where he helped to secure project financing and restructure debt during the construction and production ramp up of the Pumpkin Hollow mine. Mr. Snow was the Vice-President, Finance and Controller for Tahoe Resources during which time he oversaw the financial aspects of the Sarbanes-Oxley implementation, two business acquisitions, and progressed the Escobal mine in Guatemala and the Shahuindo Mine in Peru through construction to commercial production. He began his professional career at Hecla Mining Company and holds a B.B.A. in Accounting (with distinction) from Gonzaga University.

David Savarie

SVP General Counsel

David Savarie is an Ontario qualified corporate commercial lawyer with 20+ years of experience in multiple jurisdictions and industries as both inside and outside counsel, senior business executive and company director. For the last 17 years, Mr. Savarie has worked exclusively within the gold mining sector assisting in the development, permitting, financing and operations of projects across Eastern Europe, West Africa and North America. Most recently, Mr. Savarie served as SVP, General Counsel, Corporate Affairs & People at Teranga Gold Corporation until its acquisition in 2021, and thereafter as SVP, General Counsel at Argonaut Gold Inc. until its acquisition in July 2024. Mr. Savarie received his LLB from Queen’s University (Kingston Ontario) in 1999 and prior to that a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of Western Ontario.

VP Strategic Planning

Curtis Turner is a mining professional with over 20 years of experience spanning various facets of the mining industry, including accounting, financial reporting, finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, permitting, technical operations, and community and government relations. His extensive experience covers both Nevada and international projects. Before joining i-80, Curtis held key positions at Argonaut Gold, Yamana Gold, and Meridian Gold, as well as with several junior mining companies, both private and publicly traded. During his tenure, he played a critical role in expanding the company from a single mine producing 25,000 ounces annually to an enterprise with three active mines and multiple development projects across various regions. Curtis holds both a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Utah State University.

Cindy Tseo brings over 25 years of experience with the last 20 years in finance leadership roles exclusively in mining. Before joining i-80 Gold Corp., Ms. Tseo was VP Finance at Argonaut Gold and held senior finance roles at Lundin Mining Corporation, responsible for overseeing financial reporting and planning and analysis functions. Ms. Tseo holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.​

Katerina Deluca brings over 20 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, tax, treasury, financing and mergers and acquisitions. She most recently held the position of VP Treasury and FP&A at Argonaut Gold. Prior to that Ms. Deluca held a position of Senior Finance Director at Teranga Gold, interim CFO/Controller at Gabriel Resources Ltd. Ms. Deluca is a Chartered Professional Accountant (“CPA”) and holds a Master of Science in Engineering with a Major in Economics and Business Law from the University of Economics in the Czech Republic.

Leily Omoumi brings over 17 years of experience across the mining industry and capital markets. She was most recently Vice President, Corporate Development at Teranga Gold, a mid-tier gold producer, where she played an integral role in the advancement of the company’s strategic direction and completed two landmark M&A transactions, including the sale of Teranga Gold to Endeavour Mining. Previously she was at BMO Asset Management covering mining and oil and gas equities as a buy-side analyst, and prior to that she was a sell-side analyst covering precious metals equities at Scotia Capital. Ms. Omoumi began her career at Hatch Consulting as an engineer, working in a technical capacity on various global mining projects. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA from the University of Toronto.

Todd Esplin is a seasoned mining professional with over 39 years of experience in gold mining across areas such as metallurgy, safety, human resources, and processing. Before starting his career with i80 Gold, Todd worked as a Mining manager and Process manager at Kinross. He was also the principal accounting Metallurgist, Human resources manager, Autoclave superintendent, and Metallurgical services superintendent with Barrick, where he led major projects to improve efficiency by up to 10% and managed large, diverse teams.

Tim George is a seasoned mining professional with over 20 years of experience in mine management, engineering, and technical consulting. Mr. George has spent over 10 years in Nevada with gold mining companies, he joined Premier Gold Mines Ltd. in 2017 and transitioned to i-80 Gold in 2021 as part of the spin-out. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado and earned a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering Cum Laude from the University of Arizona and is an active member of the Society for Mining Metallurgy and Exploration.

Mark Miller is an experienced environmental, health & safety executive with a strong background in strategic permitting and regulatory compliance. With over two decades of experience, Mark has led environmental management programs across multiple industries, including mining, where he has managed large-scale permitting, compliance and reclamation efforts. Currently, Mark serves as the Environmental & Permitting Manager at i-80 Gold Corp, where he leads environmental initiatives for the company’s mining projects. Previously, he has held senior roles at Nevada Gold Mines and Barrick Gold Corp, successfully implementing strategic plans and driving cost savings while maintaining regulatory compliance. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed Professional Geologist in Wyoming and Wisconsin.

Tyler Hill is a Professional Geologist with over 10 years of experience in Nevada mineral exploration and project management. With i-80 Gold he has held titles of Senior Geologist and Chief Geologist while overseeing exploration activities across the portfolio. Prior to joining i-80 Gold he worked for a subsidiary of the private equity group Waterton Global Resource Management, evaluating exploration projects across Nevada. From there he transitioned to Premier Gold and was part of the McCoy-Cove exploration team that that discovered 1.1 Moz Au, leading to a >400% increase in the mineral resource of the Cove deposit. He holds a B.S. degree in geology from Ball State University and a M.S. degree in geology from the University of Nevada – Reno. Mr. Hill is a Certified Professional Geologist through the American Institute for Professional Geologists and a licensed Professional Geologist in the state of Utah.

Ron Clayton is a highly experienced mining executive with over 40 years in the business. He has successfully guided companies through the mine life cycle, including advanced-stage exploration, development, construction, and mining. Mr. Clayton is a former director of Gold Standard Ventures Corporation and 1911 Gold Corporation. He acted as the President, CEO and Director of Tahoe Resources Inc. until June of 2018, and President & CEO for 1911 Gold Corporation until March 2022. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, Operations, and the General Manager of several underground mines for Hecla Mining Company, and served as Vice President, Operations with Stillwater Mining Company. In addition, Mr. Clayton earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a graduate of the Tuck School of Business Executive Program at Dartmouth.

Eva Bellissimo co-leads the Global Metals & Mining Group at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, a leading national law firm with offices in Canada, New York and London, and brings to i-80 Gold a wide breadth of legal, financing, cross-border M&A and corporate governance expertise. With more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry, Eva has been a trusted advisor to numerous companies in the sector, having led hundreds of transactions. Named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada and recognized by Chambers Canada for her resource sector expertise, Eva has developed a strong reputation as a strategic lawyer and advisor. Eva has sat on a number of public company boards and also lectures on Mining Finance at the Osgoode Certificate in Mining Law Program.

Mr. Begeman is a Professional Mining Engineer with over 40 years of mining experience. Along with i-80 Gold, he is also a director for Allied Gold Corp and Pan American Silver. He recently sat on the board of directors of Yamana Gold Inc. He served on the board of Premier Gold Mines Limited in 2006 and became its Chairman in 2015. He has previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Avion Gold Corporation from 2008 to 2012, as the President and Chief Executive Officer and director of Valencia Ventures Ltd. from 2008 to 2010, as the Chief Operating Officer of Zinifex Canada Inc. from 2006 to 2008 and as Vice President, Western Operations of Goldcorp from 2000 to 2006. In his capacity for Goldcorp, he was responsible for its surface gold operations in South Dakota and the Industrial Minerals Division in Saskatchewan. Previous to his employment at Goldcorp, Mr. Begeman held various engineering and management positions with Morrison Knudsen Company in the contract mining operations group throughout the Western United States.

Mr. Begeman holds a B.S. in Mining Engineering, an M.S. in Engineering Management and an MBA. He has completed the Rotman-ICD Directors Education program and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors with the ICD.D designation. John Seaman is a mining executive with over 25 years of experience in the industry, from exploration through development and production. Mr. Seaman was previously the Lead Director of Premier Gold Mines and served as the Chief Financial Officer of Premier Gold Mines, in addition to Wolfden Resources, Pediment Gold Corp and Tembo Gold. Over his career, Mr. Seaman has been a director of various small and mid tier companies. Mr. Seaman is an ICD.D member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Arthur Einav is General Counsel and Senior Managing Director at Sprott Inc.  Before joining Sprott, Mr. Einav was an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and McCarthy Tétrault LLP. Christina McCarthy is a geologist with over 15 years of experience in the resource capital markets. She is the former President & CEO of Paycore Minerals Inc. Ms. McCarthy served as Director of Corporate Development for McEwen Mining Inc. from December 2014 to December 2019. and was the Vice President of Corporate Development for New Oroperu Resources Inc. She spent the past 15 years in various roles including building an exempt market dealer focusing on resources, equity research at Euro Pacific and Institutional Sales at Haywood Securities. Prior to entering the resource capital markets, she worked in Scandinavia for a junior exploration company managing the  exploration programs on multiple projects throughout Norway and Sweden. Christina was also influential in building and supporting one of the leading resource IPO’s in 2020, New Found Gold Corp.

Ms. Joseph is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Ivanhoe Electric.  She is a mining industry executive with over 20 years of experience in corporate, environmental and intellectual property law. Before joining Ivanhoe Electric in February of 2023, Ms. Joseph was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Nevada Copper. Prior to Nevada Copper, she served as Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer for Nevada-based Tahoe Resources prior to its sale to Pan American Silver. Ms. Joseph also worked in the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, representing the Division of Environmental Protection, the Division of Water Resources, and other agencies within the Department of Natural Resources. She holds a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
